Over the next week or so, I may well post various and several videos appropriate to the season. There will be no apologies for this. This stuff is taking me back to New road School in Earby.
Annie Lennox, though... bless 'er cotton sox.... There's a pagan undertone to this, which is exactly how it should be.

My friend Jim died last Tuesday, while working alone on a logging job. He'd
been a logger forever, and was very happy to be back in the woods this

Working til 23 rd of Dec. But getting into the Christmas spirit now.
Did't sing that one at Tebay County Primary, but I only have to hear "O Little Town of Bethlehem' to be transported back.
Happy Mid Winter Festivities to you all.
I believe Annie does that one too, Greg.
Good King Wenceslaus was main one for me, I think. I thought it was Good King Wencers Last Looked Out...
Then there was Round John Virgin (mother and child)
Post 'White wine in the sun' by Tim Minchin Mike, top festive tune ! ;-)
Merry Newtonmass to you all.
I had a look at that video, Adrian. The only explanation I can think of for this groaning, whingeing, joyless, miserable dirge is that he's probably recently stopped taking his medication. Has his dog been run over, d'you think?
He's not very happy, is he?
He he,ah well, can't please all the people all the time eh..
My favourite carol! I like your version, but I've posted my favourite over at my place.
Ah gwan then, Shirl.
Ashley, I've just been looking at the lyrics for Little Town of Bethlehem and I didn't realise, when I were a sprog singing these things, that they're actually really very good. I might well post that one up....
A bit of a cluttered dirge... Not my idea of Christmas... I suppose I had better think about what I think is a good one.... I'll sleep on it.
Watch this space...
However, it has to be said the sexy Annie beats the Essex Gurl's husky tones
We await for Christmas choices Alan.
In fact, there's more to come on the Pie Blog...
Watch this other space....>
Quite good fun, this Christmas stuff, innit?
Mikkelmass - the best of all Xmas tunes is The Pretenders "2000 Miles". Utterly lovely.
Have a look at this for some REAL carols: http://www.bbc.co.uk/learningzone/clips/sheffield-folk-carols-from-church-to-pub/6609.html

Anonymous - Agreed, I like that christmas song - we do, in fact, have KT Tunstall singing it just a couple of blog posts ago. Otherwisde, i'd post it, probably.
JJ - Interesting. I remember watching that on breakfast time. If I can find a video of the older version of the Holly and the Ivy aI might wel put it on, cos its very cheerful...
In the meantime, there could be a little blog walk....
