More Grey Nag Pictures (from Matt)

shiooters hut (locked!)

Despite having a walk up Teesdale with Lucky yesterday, as it was a reccy, I’m not blogging about it till we do the actual guided walk.

Sooooo… instead here’s some pics taken by Matt on the Grey Nag walk. Irritatingly, they’re better than the ones I took…

Nice photos. Mike, a strange question, but I am now seeing adverts at the end of your last three blog posts. Is this Google's doing, your doing, or something I've done? Just wondering?

Its locked, dawn - although, peeking through the windows, it has a wood burner and a toilet and running water... (posh)
Andrew - These ads seem to have just appeared and I don't know where from. When I first made the blog (a long time ago) I did opt for ads and the excruciatingly small income - but after a few months they stopped. I will investigate..... (although I'm not sure what to do about the ads)

Andrew - On my original blog set up I've ticked a box "show mads on blog" - and whilst these are the first ads for years and years... (and years), they seem harmless and if there's an income it can go to my charriddeee thingy. Unless there's an outcry from readers - but they seem harmless ads and have some relevance to the blog content.

Hi Mike
Can you get Lucky to jump small fences and stiles? Hyperdog Moss can jump a wall when motivated but out on hill walks he refuses and I have to lift him over then drop him. Usually covered in mud and writhing too so it's tricky. And I can't do routes with a ladder style on them at all....

Hi Fellbound: Lucky is lucky in that he's quite small and can be easily lifted over fences, stiles and cattle grids specially when he's wearing his ruffwear harness with the handle.
He can manage most stiles but scarily jumps off the top - sometimes a considerable drop - which is scary. He's also good at finding alternative routes under fences and gates etc. I don't let him attempt fences in case he gets tangled - Bruno had a couple of nasty incidents but he used to jump fences just for fun. If I warn Luckjy that I'm about to lift him up by his handle, he's generally Ok about it, otherwise he does wriggle.
