Thursday At The Surgery
Just reminded myself that I have to fast tomorrow from nine in the evening for the Blurd Nurse to take some finest vintage knipe stuff on Thursday morning. Mince pies before nine....
And the doc has a slight lisp, Iain - "Come in...we've been expecting you..." (Well, they would, wouldn't they, I have an appointment...) Its the insults I don't like, Dawn. As the nurse said to me last time as I rolled up me sleeves - "Just a little prick, Mr Knipe." Not very nice, that.... (Script from Carry on Up the Surgery)
Thanks Laura and Louise - it was OK, obviously - but I had to go twice, with a two hour gap after drinikng something very sweet that looked quite like a sample.... Crook is also an occupation, Alan. Not mine, though... Jules - the name badge said "Igor" "Can I kill him now, master?" "Not yet, Igor. Not yet."
Ooh.
ReplyDeleteGo steady. I usually keel over when they do that... I always warn them but they laugh...
Then I wake up on the floor and they say "sorry"...
I'm steeling meself Alan. I try not to get personally involved. Its the bats and the organ music (and the coffin) that puts me off a bit.
ReplyDeleteThe creaking old door doesn't help either!
ReplyDeleteIt is when they invite you to become a member of their darts team you should worry! Especially when the ask you to stand with your back to the wall!

Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteYou'll be fine at the surgery.
It's the starving bit that's more scary........
You'll be fine!
ReplyDeleteHate it myself though...
Crook, Means unwell, so i believe. Was this a clue.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, and go easy!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't be put off by Lurch at the door - "Yeers?" - a surgery receptionists job is not an easy one.
