Sitting on Lord Hereford's Knob
The next jaunt is a backpack from Crickhowell to Hay-on-Wye, the last top, of course, being Lord Hereford's Knob. Half Man Half Biscuit said much about this enlargement - or, shall we say, eminence? Click the linkshapethingy
'Tis fine countryside thereabouts. We used to live just below the grand protuberance for many years. Prior to that we lived on the hill above Llangattock, Crickhowell for almost a decade. Used to be a few half-decent pubs there.....prolly sadly gone now, methinks.
I'm thinking of camping in Crickhowell before the start of my Black Mts jaunt. I don't know the area at all, so exploring for pubs could well be on the agenda, Iain. I'm looking forward to it - mid June.
